28th Annual Arc Race
presented by UPS
Saturday, September 10, 2022
Run or walk an in-person 10k or 5k, or if you prefer virtual, run or walk a half marathon, 10k, or 5k!
Our 28th Annual Arc Race will be both in-person and virtual this year, which means people from across CNY, the US, and the WORLD can participate in supporting our mission! Getting involved has never been easier!
Choose your event – the 5k or 10k in-person or virtual, or the virtual half marathon! Whether you run or walk, you will be supporting the Arc of Onondaga Foundation in its efforts to raise important funds so individuals with developmental disabilities can lead purpose-driven, independent and inclusive lives in our community.
This year will mark the eighth year of our Athletes in Tandem program which fosters relationships between athletes with disabilities and community runners and walkers to enhance their quality of life by empowering them to participate in competitive sporting events. For more information, or if you are interested in being a tandem athlete, please contact our offices at 315-476-7441 x 1103.
Register by 9/7/22 to be guaranteed a tee shirt.
The first 750 registrants will receive a finisher pin, Race sticker and drawstring bag.
Check out the new 10k course!
Race bibs and shirts will be available for pickup Friday, September 9 from 11am-6pm at Fleet Feet, 5800 Bridge Street in East Syracuse. If you cannot make it to Packet Pickup, bibs and shirts will be available on race day in the Registration area.
Every year, the Arc of Onondaga Foundation awards grants to the agency to pay for projects for which there is no traditional funding. When you support the Arc Race and our special events and fundraising campaigns, you make these projects a reality.
In 2021, thanks to support of the Dunkin’ Run Arc Race and other fundraising events and initiatives, a grant of $16,000 was given by the Arc of Onondaga Foundation. Funds were used to purchase plants, trees and mulch, and volunteers from UPS spent the day landscaping at our residential homes.
Most recently, a grant for up to $250,000 was awarded to help fund the Wilbur Center for Opportunity, a renovation that will turn 5,000 square feet of space into new program space.
So, when you register for this year’s Arc Race, please know how much we need you and that your support is truly appreciated. These are just some of your dollars at work.
