Volunteer

Volunteers are critical to the services and programs we provide to our participants.

Volunteer at Arc

Community integration is important to those we serve, and volunteers play a special role in meeting this need. Arc of Onondaga is one of the largest providers of services for people with developmental disabilities in the county – serving over 700 individuals and their families at 30 local sites -and helping us to achieve our mission of assisting individuals with developmental disabilities achieve their fullest potential.

It’s important to us that volunteers feel comfortable in working with our participants and understand some basic requirements. Please note that volunteers working directly with persons who have developmental disabilities may be required to undergo a state background check, TB test, and some introductory training.
