Annual Appeal

When you give to the Arc of Onondaga Foundation, you help make opportunities for creative expression possible for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The Arc of Onondaga Foundation Invites you to Make a Difference this Season in Celebration of Creativity, Individuality, and Inclusion!

Now more than ever, people who receive supports from Arc of Onondaga are sharing their creative abilities with the CNY community. From exhibits at Syracuse Hancock International Airport to Jamesville-DeWitt Library, their work has been displayed for the community to admire. Handmade cards have been shared with people in area nursing facilities to brighten their holidays, and Arc artists made pieces for auction at the Achievement Awards Dinner – raising important funds for the Arc of Onondaga Foundation. This past September, the people we support helped celebrate our 30th Annual Arc Race with an onsite art exhibition for all to enjoy at Long Branch Park.

Thanks to generous support from the Rotunno-Fish family, on any given day, artists who attend Arc’s day habilitation programs create works in a variety of mediums, including painting, sculpting, papier mache, fabric and clay. They designed the outdoor building mural that welcomes people to the Wilbur Center for Opportunity, and Stacy’s artwork (pictured below) became the official design for OneGroup Insurance’s annual holiday card.

Through our partnership with The Redhouse Arts Center, performing artists we support are exploring their creativity on stage, learning the craft of acting, bodily movement, and how to work as a solo performer and as part of an ensemble.

This year, we are setting a fundraising goal of $50,000. All money raised will enable our foundation to continue to support programs and initiatives that empower people to discover and channel their creative talents.

Arc of Onondaga Foundation

Thank you to our friends at Syracuse Hancock International Airport for displaying these colorful pieces from talented artists who Arc supports.

This exhibit can be viewed just past the security checkpoint in the hallway leading to the terminal A gates.

Building Community Support Since 2002

Since its inception in 2002, the Arc of Onondaga Foundation has been building community support through individual contributions, giving campaigns, and special events like the annual Achievement Awards Dinner and Arc Race. When you support the Arc of Onondaga Foundation, you make a powerful statement of involvement, belief and commitment to people with developmental disabilities who live in our community. Your generosity enables the foundation to award grants that make a positive impact upon the people who receive supports from the Arc of Onondaga, helping them to achieve their ambitions and goals.

With over $1,000,000 in grant funding from the foundation, Arc of Onondaga has been able to support a variety of projects and endeavors that have enhanced the quality of life, safety, and wellbeing of the people whom Arc has the privilege of supporting. Please consider making a gift to our Annual Campaign so we may continue to help people achieve their creative dreams.
