Governor Kathy Hochul has announced a $500M+ investment in organizations in NYS that provide services and supports to people with I/DD. We are grateful for this investment, however, many people with disabilities and their families are still struggling to access the support they need. Our advocacy efforts continue and we are asking families and people supported by programs that did not receive increases from the new rates for comm hab, respite, employment, and other programs, to get involved.
We still need a full-system investment to meet the needs of ALL New Yorkers with disabilities and their families.
