Summary
The Lead Contract Worker directly supervises assigned individuals at Monarch work sites.  He/she is responsible for assisting the Contract Manager/Contract supervisor with feedback about the appropriateness of an individual for the assigned work duties.  This is a working supervisor position.  Reports to the Contract Manager/Contract Supervisor.

Requirements
1. Recommends and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of products or service, suggests changes in work methods and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
2. Responsible for the initial workplace training and job specific training of individuals receiving services.
3. Completes piece counts (as appropriate) and submits to Employment support staff.
4. Provides training to new staff in all phases of their job responsibilities.
5. Provides daily work direction to ensure the performance of assigned job duties.
6. Responsible for evaluation and counseling of all assigned staff as necessary.
7. Fills in for assigned staff as needed.
8. May be asked to fill in for Contract Manager/Contract Supervisor in their absence.
9. Performs regular preventative maintenance, checks and repairs as needed.
10. Must maintain job-required certifications and/or licenses.
11. Responsible for ensuring the quality of work performed by themselves and any individuals assigned to them.
12. The Lead Contract Worker may be required to provide transportation to a crew of individuals in order to meet contract needs.
13. Supports the Goals and Mission of Arc of Onondaga County.  Ensures that Lead Contract Worker’s communications and personal performance reflect the Agency’s commitment to teamwork, compliance with policies and procedures and respect for individuals and staff.
14. Responsible for accurate completion of assigned vehicle reports, i.e. daily safety checks and transportation records.
15. May be required to arrive at a job site without the use of a company vehicle if not transporting a crew.
16. Responsible for providing safe transportation of employees to and from work-sites in Agency owned vehicles.  This includes daily completion of vehicle checklists.
17. Must maintain job-required certifications and/or licenses.
18. Attends and participates in required Arc of Onondaga meetings, staff development and training programs.
19. Establishes and provides clear and legible documentation and compliance records required by Arc and other government agencies.
20. Expected to conduct all agency business and complete job responsibilities in accordance with agency Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Plan.
21. Provides other job-related support and services as required or assigned by management.

Note – Requirements 1-20 are Essential Job Requirements

Education & Experience Requirements
• High School Diploma.
• 1 year experience in a production, manufacturing or janitorial setting.
• Combination of education and experience which, in the judgement of the employer, equals above standards.
• 1 Year supervisory experience preferred.
• Eligible for NYS DMV Regulation 19(A) and CDL Class C NYS driver’s license with a driving record acceptable to the Agency’s insurance carrier preferred.
