Summary
An Employment Liaison has a specified caseload of individuals that they oversee all aspects of work support for. This is to include, but is not limited to, placement, training and ongoing support. Reports to the Employment Options Manager.
Requirements
1. Using Person-Center Planning techniques- maintains responsibility for implementing the Individuals service plan based on funding source requirements (i.e. OPWDD SEMP or ACCES-VR).
2. Maintains caseload as assigned by Manager and ensures that all documentation is completed and updated as per department, Agency and regulatory requirements. Ensures that all billing expectations are met as assigned by management.
3. Acts as consultant to facilitate the use of natural and community support opportunities.
4. Creates employment opportunities based on the strengths and desires of individuals. Presents program incentives, support considerations and philosophy to interested employers.
5. Develops job coaching strategies to include use of natural supports, self-management, support team and social interaction strategies.
6. Aids in the completion of job-site paperwork and collects data as well as addressing any integration issues. Consults with supervisors regarding strategies, job duty adaptations and/or modifications.
7. Provides instruction using training strategies and supports consistent with the needs of the Individual and goals outlined in service plans.
8. Helps to ensure employee’s job performance to meets the needs of the employer and provides situational assessments if necessary prior to job placement.
9. Follows procedures of transitioning employee from intensive training to extended services. Provides proactive extended services to the Individuals served, monitors job performance and assists the employee with maintaining their position as a valued member of the work force.
10. Utilizes departmental policies to ensure that quality-based outcomes are achieved.
11. Works flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends and holidays, as necessary, in order to meet the needs of the Individuals served. Completes caseload coverage assignments when necessary.
12. Must own or have access to a car in order to be able to transport self and Individuals to meetings and employment-related activities.
13. Responsible to meet billing requirements and community contacts as necessary per regulatory guidelines and/or as indicated by Program Manager.

14. Supports the Goals and Mission of Arc of Onondaga County. Ensures that your communications and personal performance reflect the Agency’s commitment to teamwork, compliance with policies and procedures and respect for individuals and staff.
15. Computer and office technology expertise that is required to fulfill job responsibilities and assignments.
16. Attends and participates in required Arc meetings, staff development and training programs.
17. Establishes and provides clear and legible documentation and compliance records required by Arc and other government agencies.
18. Expected to conduct all agency business and complete job responsibilities in accordance with agency Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Plan.
19. Provides other job-related support and services as required or assigned by management.

Education & Experience Requirements
• Associates Degree in Human Services or a related field preferred.
• Experience working with persons with disabilities preferred.
• Combination of education and experience which, in the judgement of the employer, equals above standards.
• A valid NYS driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to the Agency’s insurance carrier.
