Our shot to stop COVID!

Last month, we were involved in an advocacy campaign to include people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and the staff who work with them in the very first round of vaccine availability.

That campaign was effective and those who live in our residential programs, and the staff who work with them, have been able to sign up for and receive the vaccine.

We have been working with local health departments and OPWDD to prioritize and vaccinate people who live in certified residential homes, staff who work with them as well as staff who work in any OPWDD service area, and are hopeful that this is the first step to beginning to end this pandemic.
