1951. That’s when Arc of Onondaga began its commitment to support people with developmental disabilities. We started in a grassroots fashion, with a group of concerned parents who wanted to ensure that their children with disabilities would have the same educational opportunities as other children. Over the decades, we have added new programs and support opportunities, and, we are proud to say that 70 years later, we support nearly 1,000 people and their families and operate over 40 sites throughout Onondaga County. Although much has changed over the past 70 years, our commitment to ensuring that individuals with disabilities have the same opportunities as all members of society has remained steadfast.
As we reflect upon and celebrate the past 70 years of raising awareness and providing services, we are extending a special opportunity to show your support with a monetary gift of $70.
