Quality AssuranceArc of Onondaga’s Quality Assurance department is designed to ensure that Arc of Onondaga runs programs and services of the highest caliber to those enrolled in its day and/or residential programs.Quality assurance provides the following services in support of Arc’s mission: Corporate ComplianceArc of Onondaga’s Corporate Compliance program ensures that Arc of Onondaga follows all appropriate federal, state, and local guidelines and well as the highest of ethical standards. Arc strives to provide the highest quality services to its consumers and to that end, our corporate compliance program encourages our achievement of that level of quality. The program also ensures adherence to Arc policies, including conflict of interest standards and a system to encourage reporting of violations of law and/or policies and procedures.Corporate Compliance Plan (PDF) HIPAAArc of Onondaga’s Quality Assurance Department ensures our agency strictly adheres to the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, also known as the HIPAA law or HIPAA act. Our privacy policies protect the confidentiality of health information for the consumers we serve. All incidents are reviewed and tracked. At Arc of Onondaga, we want to ensure that every consumer has a completely safe and healthy environment.Access to Mental Hygiene Records in New York State: A Guide for Individuals Receiving Services and Other "Qualified Persons" has been issued by the NYS Commission on Quality of Care and Advocacy for Persons with Disabilities. This pamphlet, prepared in response to the requirements of "Jonathan's Law," offers guidance for individuals receiving services, their families and other persons legally authorized to obtain records.
