Finance Department

The Finance Department manages all of the finances for both Arc of Onondaga and the Arc of Onondaga Foundation. The day-to-day operations of the finance department include managing income, billing, cash flow, purchasing, bidding, contracts, expenses, payroll, representative payee for consumers, donations, capital assets, and investments as well as developing and implementing the Agency’s financial planning and accounting policies and procedures. The finance department also is responsible for working with and assisting the external auditors in the preparation of the Arc of Onondaga annual financial statement report.

Residential Consumers

For those consumers residing in our Community Residences for whom the agency is representative payee, the Finance Department provides full assistance with Social Security Benefits, working to manage each consumer’s assets to ensure compliance with regulations and to protect their benefits. Additionally, the department is responsible for the re-certification of each consumer’s Medicaid and Food Stamps benefits to ensure continuation of their benefits. We can provide referral’s to third parties that will assist consumers with financial planning techniques that can preserve benefits and protect assets. Sales Tax Exemption
